Do you Tweet? Attending Summit this Year? Consider Being a “Community Tweeter” while at Summit!

Over the last several years, more and more attendees tweet at Summit. To help foster the conversations, we’ve created some standard hashtags (#SGHESummit and #SummitHall), but we’d also like to enlist members of the community to join in the conversation and keep it active while at the conference. This year, we’re looking for “Community Tweeters,” individuals who are already tweeting or interested in tweeting. We hope to find enough of you so that we can represent each of the Summit Communities. Here are the Summit Communities and hashtags:

• Alumni Relations and Development #alumni
• Business Intelligence #bi
• Financial #finance
• Human Capital Management #hr
• Information Technology #it
• Mobile #mobile
• Portal #portal
• Recruiting & Admissions #recruit
• Student Success & Retention #retain
• Student Services #student
• Financial aid #finaid
• Teaching and Learning #teach
• PowerCAMPUS #powercampus
• Technology & Planning Services #techplan

The idea is simple. We will share and promote your Twitter handle so conference attendees, as well as those that can’t be at the conference this year, can follow you and receive updates and information real time during Summit. If you are someone who is already tweeting or interested in getting involved, just let us know.

Simply send us an email or tweet us @SGHESummit with a hashtag of #ctweeter, tell us your Twitter handle and specify the community you’re interested in.

We’ll promote your handle to the broader community leading up to and during the conference. Then, while you’re there, if you attend an interesting session, engage in a great conversation, learn something new, or have something fun to share, do what you’d normally do, and tweet it!

Please consider joining the conversation. And keep an eye out for your Community Tweeters and follow them to stay connected before, during, and after the conference!
