Muniz is returning to the Maricopa County Community College District after serving as the vice president for student success at Northwest Vista College in San Antonio, Tex., for the past four years. In this role, she provided leadership for judicial affairs, student success initiatives, one-stop welcome center, financial aid and disability services while serving on a variety of task forces related to community outreach. 

Nicki Harrington, chancellor of the Yuba Community College District, has announced that she will retire at the end of the current academic year, June 30, after more than 35 years in higher education.

Jann Haskins Gillingham has been named president of Collegiate Project Services.  Currently the vice president for business development, Mrs. Gillingham will transition to the role of president on January 1, 2011.  Jann will succeed Dr. Edwin T. Cornelius, who founded the company in 1989.  Dr. Cornelius will remain as CEO.

The Board of Trustees of Cloud County Community College extended an offer to Dr. Danette Toone to become the institution's sixth president. The board voted unanimously to hire Dr. Toone, offering her a two-year contract beginning on July 1, 2010.
